Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Actively participate in patient care rounds with other members of the healthcare team
- Assist medical staff with the selection of drug therapy and patient monitoring
- Assume responsibility for patient specific pharmacotherapy plan to ensure optimal outcomes
- Determine workload priorities, verify medication orders, check the final product for accuracy, and assure timely delivery of medications to the patient care area.
- Act as drug information and education resource for patients, students, colleagues, medical and nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
- Detect analyze and report adverse drug reactions
- Assure adherence to the departmental policies and procedures and provide monthly reports on clinical activities and other relevant workload statistics
- Participate in the departmental performance improvement, educational and other clinical activities.
Job Requirements and Qualifications :
- Masters Degree
- PharmD or Doctor of Clinical Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy
- Two (2) years of hospital pharmacy experience in clinical capacity
- Language Skills: Fluent in English and Arabic – Oral & Written.
