Job Duties and Responsibilities :
• Support Strategic Planning Manager and Lead Economist to conduct data analytics and
• develop comprehensive economic models that can inform and quantify impact for long- and short-term government policies and initiatives.
• Provide support in the design and development of comprehensive economic models to understand economic impact of outlined policies and policy changes
• Consolidate an clean data sets in a structured and standardized manner
• Drive process and analyses and draw key insights from impact assessment
• Rapidly conduct economic impact analyses for rapid response topics
• Work in close relationship with entities in identifying which data sets are needed and follow up on their sourcing
• Support Lead Economist in highlighting/predicting the economic impact of policies being considered by the Strategic Planning Team.
Job Requirements and Qualifications :
• Minimum qualification is an undergraduate degree from a recognized higher learning institution in Economics/ Finance/ related field
• 5 year’s work experience conducting economic research and analysis
• Good written/verbal communication
• Ability to do economic modeling with a range of economic models and modelling software packages
• Ability to understand data analysis and generate insights.
