Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Plan, implement and manage daily operations.
- Prepare menus.
- Suggest new menu items.
- Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread.
- Monitor supplies and ingredients necessary for daily operations.
- Check the quality of material and condition of equipment.
- Train, guide and motivate pastry assistants.
- Maintain a clean cooking station.
- Adhere to health and safety standards.
- Keep abreast with the latest food and industry trends.
Job Requirements and Qualifications :
- Opening and or pre-opening experience an asset
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in a pastry kitchen.
- Must have experience in French pastries/cakes/ breads
- High standard of oral and written English communication
- Able to manage the day-to-day operations of the bakery section of a kitchen.
