Job Duties and Responsibilities :
• Serve as the primary focal point for safety and security for the Office.
• Develop and update safety and security management plan for the Office

Provide technical support to the staff and personnel in the field in the following areas:
• Security/risk assessment
• Security plan development, scenario planning
• Crisis/contingency plan.

Other security-related functions;
• Provide advice and counsel to management on matters relating to employee and property safety and security
• Develop and facilitate security and safety training for the Office
• Monitor security conditions and liaise and coordinate with external agencies UN, local government, etc.

Job Requirements and Qualifications :
• Bachelor s degree (preferable if in International Relations, Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Security Administration or related area or ability to demonstrate a work-based equivalent)

Experience:
• Minimum 5 years implementing security programs and a strong knowledge of security management in complex environments
• Preferable when an applicant
• Has some familiarity with other donor agencies procedures
• Has experience with private security companies and contractors
• Has experience conducting training for small groups
• Has comprehensive knowledge of regional and national security issues
• Has demonstrated an understanding of complex emergencies, related security concerns and appropriate responses to such emergencies.

Skills:
• Written and spoken fluency in English required
• Good at using Microsoft suites (Words, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
• Able to plan, execute and continuously improve her/his work independently and/or in close collaboration with colleagues.
