Job Duties and Responsibilities :
• Create, maintain and update manuals, procedures, specifications, installation instructions, training material, help center contents & knowledge base and other types of contents/documents.
• Design and establish style guidelines and standards for texts and illustrations to meet business needs.
• Create, compile and deliver software developmental documentation packages.
• Review, revise, modify or edit documents prepared by others.
• Compile, organize and write online help files to support end-users.
• Write technical documents in compliance to the company s established standards and guidelines.
• Evaluate and recommend revisions to standards and guidelines.
• Determine the needs of end users of technical documentation
• Study product samples and talk with product designers and developers
• Work with technical staff to make products easier to use and thus need fewer instructions
• Organize and write supporting documents for products
• Use photographs, drawings, diagrams, animation, and charts that increase users understanding
• Select appropriate medium for message or audience, such as manuals or online videos
• Standardize content across platforms and media
• Gather usability feedback from customers, designers, and manufacturers.
Job Requirements and Qualifications :
Strong organization skills for content management and collaboration
• Excellent technical writing skills and ability to create new content in response to emerging requirements while leveraging approved content and approaches
• Strong presentation skills
• Handled at least 3 major products end to end documentation including but not limited to user guides, training guides, release notes, help center, knowledge base contents.
• Innovative & research management skills.
• Demonstrated communication effectiveness, and good management discipline.
• Ability to foster trusting relationships with colleagues and clients.
• In-depth knowledge of MS Word and familiarity with graphics applications such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, MS Visio or similar graphics tools
• Ability to review and correct material for content, style, and compliance with internal and external standards
• Ability to document complex technical, legal, and compliance concepts and processes in a clear and concise manner in both written and graphic formats
• Strong eye for grammatical, spelling, and other editing errors.
