Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Effective operations and administration of servers in a medium to large UNIX environment
- Handle complex UNIX issues and perform day-to-day support of the server environment independently
- Be part of a team that lead system implementation for production, testing and development, disaster recovery.
- Proactive monitoring and capacity planning of the server environment
- Required to advise and lead complex system discussions and resolve technical issues
- Provide high standard of technical support to end-users.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Technology/Engineering
- Min. 3 years experience in UNIX system
- Advanced administration skills in Solaris or AIX systems
- Knowledge in Microsoft Windows, Networking & Oracle database is an added advantage
- Familiarity with high availability solutions and LAN/SAN backup is an added advantage
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated and team-oriented
- Ability to work independently and learn quickly is a must
- Certified UNIX Systems Engineer
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or related courses.
