Saudi Arabia: 99% of children aged 12-18 get 1st COVID-19 vaccine dose – Gulf News

360 new infections recorded, bringing tally to over 542,000
Abu Dhabi: The Saudi Ministry of Health said 99 per cent of 12 to 18-year-olds have received the first COVID-19 vaccine dose, noting that it is vital to get both doses to gain maximum protection against all existing and emerging variants of COVID-19.
The ministry said another 360 infections were recorded, bringing the tally to 542,354 and 741 recovered, for a total of 529,377.
The number of active cases reached 4,487, including 1,127 critical, the ministry said.
Nine more deaths were recorded, bringing the total to 8,490, the ministry added.
